in South Carolina to support our families and children. South Carolina
ranks 46th in the well-being of children, our second worst rating

There is only so much that can be accomplished by teachers in the
classroom. Sometimes the answer for children does not lie in a book,
but exists in the world around us. The Spirit of South Carolina offers
something different - a unique opportunity for children to experience
life in a new setting, fostering self-discovery and prompting a new
appreciation for responsibility, teamwork and leadership. SCMHF is
devoted to building the educational platform to accomplish these
goals, the Spirit. We will build the ship and we will offer an exceptional
learning environment—with unique curricula that instills a newfound
sense of pride and accomplishment in the children.
