Dear Family and Friends,
We are still in Norfolk in port. Since we had a full day of activities, we staying busy. The day started off with waking up at 7:30 AM and eating a wonderful breakfast made by Miss Laura. Next we had class with Mr. Mike-on land. We learned how to work together and how to make a team function. The skills every team needs are leadership, a good attitude, and communication. We successfully completed the games by working together. After "school" we made lunches then went to the Nauticus. At the Nauticus, we got a special below-decks tour of the Schooner Virginia. We also got to explore the entire museum in small groups. The museum has the USS Wisconsin (a battleship), a lot of naval history, and a marine life section where you can pet small sharks. We also got a chance to get snacks and gifts at the museum stores.
After the museum we came back to the ship and ate some Mexican food. Now the sun is going down and we have 45-minutes of free time to organize our bunks-and we need it! See you in a couple days!
P.S. Hey Mom, Dad, Stephen, Chris, Abi, and Stella! I love you tons! The stars are awesome!
