Adult Educational Sail aboard the
Spirit of South Carolina
Saturday, June 25th from 5:30 - 8:30
June 16, 2010
As a result of the success of the adult educational sail in May, the South Carolina Maritime Foundation is hosting another sail focusing on new subjects in marine science and seamanship for up to 40 adults. Interested participants are encouraged to register early to ensure their space on the sail aboard the Spirit of South Carolina tall ship on Saturday, June 25th from 5:30 - 8:30 PM.
The South Carolina Maritime Foundation is offering a rare opportunity to adults to sail on the Spirit of South Carolina. This educational sail will include beverages and light refreshments for participants. At a cost of only $50 for South Carolina Maritime Foundation members and $65 to nonmembers, adults can now engage in an educational opportunity typically only afforded to students. For more information or to register, contact Rachel Stewart at rstewart@scmaritime.org or 843.722.1030 x20. To become a member of the Foundation and receive a discount on this sail, visit www.scmaritime.org.
"This program offers adults an extraordinary opportunity to learn about marine science and seamanship while aboard a traditional tall ship," said Program Manager, Beth Spencer. "I encourage new and past participants to embark this evening sail for a learning experience they'll never forget."
